This kind of behaviour would, I think, normally not be accepted.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-6078873125706601992014-08-30T12:04:15.185+03:002014-08-30T12:04:15.185+03:00The doorman's devastation at losing his unifor...The doorman's devastation at losing his uniform--and those shiny buttons--is a tad heartbreaking. The ending is far-fetched and takes away from the overall picture.Kimberly J.M. Yet when I saw it second time to write the commentary I was able to distance my self enough from the tragedy that I could appreciate it as a work of art. And then the ending just scream to heaven.TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-49659935527435332552012-07-22T07:22:52.475+03:002012-07-22T07:22:52.475+03:00There are no words for how depressing and how hear...There are no words for how depressing and how heartbreaking this movie is.

In a very superficial way, I like the ending... a teensy little bit. I like it because it keeps me from wanting to commit suicide after watching such a masterpiece of a downer.

But I also wholeheartedly agree that it shouldn't be there. Murnau's film stops before the ending, and the ending is totally ludicrous and tacked on.

(still, though, the movie is SO depressing, I need a little bit of stupid false uplift after being beaten mercilessly for the last 75 minutes.)siochembiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11487373396181856763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-67775680706426153832012-07-21T23:03:50.641+03:002012-07-21T23:03:50.641+03:00Thanks man.
