This time round I like musicals better than first time I saw it and it really to let go of those prejudices.<br /> TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-89469906741868940282012-11-09T00:00:16.980+02:002012-11-09T00:00:16.980+02:00Well, as I've previously admitted, I AM a fan ...Well, as I've previously admitted, I AM a fan of musicals. And the first time I saw this movie, I fell in love. It's such a joyous little confection, it's like an anti-depressant. You can't be sad while watching this movie - it's just not possible. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I very much agree with you - this is Chevalier's show. He makes the whole movie. I love it when he sings "Mimi" directly into the camera, especially when he makes those lewd faces at the end. siochembiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11487373396181856763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-13104786816654113532012-11-08T20:53:08.872+02:002012-11-08T20:53:08.872+02:00Yes, that pretty much sums it up. You're right--it's all about Chevalier. Jeanette MacDonald's singing grates on me, but she was a pretty good comic actress, at least here.
