This is his best movie in my opinion because it is a lot more than just amovie about religion.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-18417466941030310892015-12-02T10:34:27.429+02:002015-12-02T10:34:27.429+02:00Dreyer's best films pack a punch. I like how it examines the manipulative power of organized religion. Religion seems to only have distanced them from each other.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395044055566348346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-21792184672077683592015-11-14T10:41:57.736+02:002015-11-14T10:41:57.736+02:00It is possible I connected better with the charact...It is possible I connected better with the characters and I am sure it help with some background information. Even then I think the emotional rollercoaster is quite universal. The trick is to get sufficently down in gear during the first hour.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-14554295436090338312015-11-13T18:12:05.445+02:002015-11-13T18:12:05.445+02:00This had a much bigger impact on you than it did m...This had a much bigger impact on you than it did me, but that is to be expected. You explained far more with the religious sects than I ever understood from just watching the movie.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-60773168516678444722015-11-11T09:48:17.006+02:002015-11-11T09:48:17.006+02:00Dreyer definitely had something with religion. This one is by far the best one and he made a theme that can be hard to digest very engaging. I think we can share the love of this one.

TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-41052809972545723962015-11-11T04:52:39.609+02:002015-11-11T04:52:39.609+02:00I was curious about what your reaction was going t...I was curious about what your reaction was going to be! I'm so glad you liked it. I am a believer but not religious if that makes any sense at all. I love this movie. There is so much to think about, primarily about miracles and faith. It helps a lot that Dryer makes the story so real and emotionally engaging. That way the miracle (or is it?) just kind of flows. I believe Dryer was an agnostic for what it's worth.
marie_dresslerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06334550550983418668noreply@blogger.com
