Maybe because it introduced John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara as a couple?
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-46649100718683188892014-10-19T21:11:44.726+03:002014-10-19T21:11:44.726+03:00I saw this a few years ago, but I only very recent...I saw this a few years ago, but I only very recently saw the first two films in Ford's "Cavalry Trilogy" - Fort Apache and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. All three have similar kinds of characters in them, played by the same actors, but they are not the same people, so the movies are not an actual trilogy. Of the three I like Fort Apache the most.

And yes, Ford does have at least a song or two in each one.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-92226678355995150862014-10-16T09:22:04.464+03:002014-10-16T09:22:04.464+03:00That is also where I land. Despite it's shortcomings it is a highly enjoyable movie.
I do not mind when singing is integral to the movie or something running in the background, but when the singer(s) step out of the movie to perform the song it ruins the experience for me. There were several examples of that in this film and it makes me fear for the coming Ford films.
TSorensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12208153011927807857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2746502363551524682.post-30431344207663674702014-10-16T03:41:30.634+03:002014-10-16T03:41:30.634+03:00This is not my favorite Ford Western.
